‘40 Winks To Wyoming’ is the latest single and video from gothic five-piece Dog Race. The Bedford/London band have established a sound that is simultaneously unsettling and deeply groovy. This track shows that unique sound off almost immediately, with a locked-in bass and drum pattern underpinning chromatic guitar lines, before the texture thins out and Katie Healy’s instantly recognisable lead vocal takes over. The band have also released their much anticipated debut EP, Return Of The Day. They describe it as “a soundscape born from sleepless nights, intrusive thoughts, and the quiet war between the mind and the world around me.
